Andrew McCutchen is off to a slow start since joining the New York Yankees but is displaying signs of emerging from his slumber as the his new team visits the Seattle Mariners on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game set. McCutchen is just 2-for-19 in six games since being acquired from San Francisco, but one of those hits was a two-run homer in Friday's series-opening 4-0 win.

Slumping slugger Giancarlo Stanton fanned three times in four hitless at-bats on Friday and is just 2-for-24 with 13 strikeouts over his last six games.

Kyle Seager is mired in a 17-game home-run drought and is 12-for-88 in 25 contests since posting a two-hit outing on Aug. 9.
